Book Review: Angel’s Rest by Emily March
Okay, I did not want to get hooked to another series, or to another Author, but I am sorry, I just can’t help it. Emily March lured me in with Angel’s Rest, and now I am a total fan, having binge read a few of the (thankfully ) long series of Eternity Springs.
This book is simply magical, a perfect setting, an extended, yet prefect cast of people and two main characters that are so easy to fall in love with. I am trying really hard not to put any spoilers into this review, but I am having a hard time not sharing about how much and why I love every detail of the book, and the subsequent novels.
Angel’s Rest is not clean, yet it is not as hard-bend on oversharing the intimate moments, leaving enough to swoon over, but leaving out enough that it does not read like something straight from an adult store, like so many other romance novels.
I also enjoyed that this book takes its time with the characters romantic involvement. It does not rush or force anything, and allows time to pass, which makes the connection between Gabriel Callahan and Nic Sullivan more believable, and will allow them to solidify as serious partners in the upcoming novels in the series.
Don’t worry, though – these books can be read as stand alone novels, it is a complete book, with an HEA, that does not make you wonder were the rest of the book is. But, if you are like me, you won’t be able to wait long, until you grab the next installment of this great series.

Gabriel Callahan has lost everything that mattered. All he wants is solitude on an isolated mountain estate. Instead, he gets a neighbor. Vibrant, no-nonsense Nic Sullivan is Eternity Springs’ veterinarian, and she has an uncanny plan to lure this talented architect back to the world of the living. First with a dog, next with a renovation project, and, finally, with a night of passion that ends with a surprise.
Now a man still raw from tragedy must face the biggest struggle of his heart. Can he forgive himself and believe in the power of second chances? Dare he trust in the promise of a future and a brand-new family here in Eternity Springs?
