Bite Size Happiness is filled with tiny nuggets of beautiful wisdom, that range from profound to simply kind, but all are positive and uplifting in nature. Yes, we may all have heard these titbits before in some form or another, but this book gives you the opportunity to incorporate this wisdom into your daily routine if you let it into your heart and mind.

It does what it promises with elegance – sharing a simple note, that can make you happy if you take the advice to heart.

Here is an example of a typical entry, and my personal thoughts on it:

“Two people can encounter the same situation, have totally different experiences, and both believe that their own version is accurate. That’s because outer circumstances don’t create your experience, your beliefs do. You’re free to change those if you want.

Free will.”

This entry specifically spoke to me, as I am reading this, because this happens to be one day after having a confirmed diagnosis of a rare genetic chronic illness. I could have considered this devastating news – even if it only confirmed my suspicions – but instead, I looked at it as an empowering opportunity to resolve to make the best out of my life, and my broken body from this moment on, no matter what.

That was my choice.

Someone else could have the same diagnosis, and look at it as something that would break them, something that would make them less.

I think it simply makes me different.

  2. A very wonder blog post this is. The book seem to be very helpful in the lives of people who get mentally down.  Most people of which I happen to have problems which disturb their mind alot. I for example go into depression and mood swings alot and it really affects my family alot. I’d love to puchase every volume of this post.

    Thank you for this wonderful book review. The words are so powerful, genuine it touched my heart.

    In The How of Happiness, psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky says that 50 percent of happiness is genetically predetermined. The remaining another half can take scientifically chosen steps.  Some of these are

    1)  Do what are you are good at 2)  Helping others (not getting help) gives you natural happiness 3) Be grateful and write a gratitude journal at the end of the day 4) Have a few real friends outside of work, inside work and family, social media. 5) train your mind and convince yourself that more money can never make you happier 6) Actively pursue your dreams.

    I am eager to know how this book instills happiness. 

    I loved the subtitles of specific topics. It increases my appetite to read this book for sure. 

    Everyone on earth needs to happy. It is contagious. A happy life is a blessing.

    I am sure this book will serve as an important source to help people getting a truly happy life.
